Dr. Rhodri Thomas had graduated from Cardiff University in 2014 and has since taken further training at the world renowned Eastman Institute, developing a particular interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
He is passionate about his profession and strives to provide a specialised tailor-made service to all of his patients.
Rhodri now lectures and teaches dentists nationally and internationally on the subject of aesthetic dentistry.
He was recently awarded Best Young Dentist (under 35) at the 2016 Private Dentistry Awards and also named as a rising star of Cosmetic Dentistry by the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
He was also awinner of Fast Track 4 ‘Leaders of the Future’ whereby four dentists are selected every three years as future leaders of dentistry by Dentistry Magazine.
Rhodri was privileged to be awarded both the British Society of Prosthodontics Heraues Kulzer Prize for his work on tooth wear and the British Endodontic Society Harty Prize for his work on pain control as well as being named a ‘Heart Your Smile Champion’ for his volunteer work with local schools within the community.
Rhodri has published articles on many topics including pain free dentistry, composite artistry, tooth wear and aesthetic dentistry.
He is now an opinion leader for both Zhermack and Ivoclar.
Outside of dentistry Rhodri paints and sells his own artwork, this background in art is invaluable for the hands on nature of the profession and creating a natural aesthetic outcome.
